Iidu Tikkanen (born 1983 in Jyväskylä, Finland) currently lives and works in Tampere, Finland.
The central themes of Tikkanen’s artistic work emerge from the concept of perception and from the processes of how she experiences the multisensory world. For Tikkanen the act of painting is to make visible the chaotic interconnectedness of all that is. She also uses multidisciplinary methods for exploring the oddities of human existence.
Tikkanen graduated from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in 2014 with a Master’s degree. She has taken part in group exhibitions and has held several solo exhibitions in Finland and abroad.
